Dust Fighter Lo-Cal is naturally occurring mineral brine that is simply pumped from geo-formations in Southwestern Ontario. It does not require extensive energy intensive processing like calcium chloride or magnesium chloride. This keeps costs – and therefore prices, very economical.

Although the above gravel specification is ideal, many road departments utilize what is called an “A” gravel. These gravels perform best when the fines content is at the higher end of the specification typically 5%-8%. Also by using gravel with up to 80% fractured faces, this will reduce stones from being “picked out” of the road by tire action leaving a depression where potholes will develop.
Tips for Better Performance
1. Blade the road to the depth of the deepest pothole.
2. Set a 4% crown. Do not flat grade
3. Apply Dust Fighter Lo-Cal early in the spring to capture the
moisture already present in the gravel.
